The costs / benefits analysis related to the implementation of large dams provides overwhelming evidence that the official evaluations are systematically misrepresented. As far as developing countries are concerned, the actual costs are underestimated by not considering the high inflation rates, debt solvency, environmental damage and social effects on populations.
